October 31,2019 18:32

ARMENPRESS. The Special Investigations Service has lifted the ban on family visits of jailed ex-deputy chief of staff of parliament Arsen Babayan. The investigative body said Babayan’s wife and children are now allowed to visit him in the detention facility.

Babayan is jailed in pre-trial detention since October 24 on charges of official falsifications and assisting the seizure of power during his tenure as Deputy Chief of Staff of Parliament.

The Special Investigations Service had initially banned anyone from visiting Babayan in jail, citing the interests of the investigation.
