“People have actively been discussing lately- it is even difficult to say out loud- rumors that the government has allocated 1 million dollars to purchase a car for Anna. That is absurd. That never happened… that is just ridiculous,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a Facebook live video regarding rumors that have been spread about his wife, Anna Hakobyan. He noted, “I do not have anything else to say. It’s a lie. Something even somewhat similar didn’t happen. People are also saying that Anna saw Mehriban Aliyeva during a flight and even sat next to her… that is also absurd. If such a meeting or conversation did take place, you would have known about it from us. We have adopted a transparent and responsible work ethic.”
