“I heard that Nikol Pashinyan said in Artsakh, ‘Artsakh is Armenia.’ But the Azeri president said ‘Karabakh is Azerbaijan’ in my presence recently. Therefore, everyone has a different view of reality,” Russian State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin told reporters during a meeting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
Regarding challenges to security, he noted that Russia considers Armenia to be an ally and, in the event that Armenia is attacked, the CSTO agreement will be put into effect. “A Russian military base operates on Armenian territory. It has a reason for being here, not just because it looks nice.”
