Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the opening of an Italian ceramics factory. The factory was made in collaboration between Italian Stoneware holding, a presenter of the famous Ceramisia brand, and Multi Group Concern.

“I never would have thought that I’d open a ceramics factory in Armenia. We did a lot of work in Georgia and even prepared projects. We were preparing to open a factory there when Gagik Tsarukyan asked me in January why I was planning to do that in Georgia. The weather is better in Armenia and Armenia has more beautiful mountains. Why didn’t I want to do that here? So in four months, we came to an agreement. We established our goal and decided to open the factory,” the Vice President of the Italian holding, Federico Polidori, said in his speech. He said that the factory’s leadership is from Italy and the employees were trained in Italy.

“Of course, the revolution and Pashinyan’s invitation also played a deciding role in all of this. Without all of that, this wouldn’t have been possible. I believe that this New Armenia will have a bright future. We can say from now on that Ceramisia exists in Armenia. We have made an investment of 30 million Euros and are prepared to invest more. We need to have 300 employees by February of 2020. We have had difficulty in finding employees, but we are not losing faith. I hope that we will meet again next year for the first anniversary of the factory with Mr. Pashinyan and Mr. Tsarukyan present as well to show that everything is moving along on the right path,” Polidori said.

“Produced in Armenia, crafted in Italy.” This will be the label on the Armenian-Italian production. The Director of Multi Group, Sedrak Arustamyan, said that 300-500 employees will be licensed at the Italian factory, and there will be more than 1,000 open positions next year. According to Arustamyan, the market will be for the US and Europe.
