The National Assembly of Armenia discussed the agreement signed between the governments of Armenia and Denmark on visa facilitation. The agreement was signed in 2018.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Avet Adonts said the following about the bill: “Danish citizens can enter Armenia without a visa, but the agreement is meant to allow Armenian citizens to enter Denmark and other countries in the Schengen Zone within a 90 to 180-day period to visit their relatives, for student exchange programs, to visit professionals, and for other reasons, and those with diplomatic passports can enter Denmark without a visa.”
According to Avet Adonts, if someone were to visit another Schengen country such as Germany or France with a visa, they would not need to get a visa to enter Denmark. “This regulation is only for entering Denmark from a non-Schengen country.”
The deputy minister added that all Danish consular services are carried out by the Lithuanian Embassy in Armenia.
