EU NEIGHBOURS. A regional workshop on the ecological classification of surface water bodies in the pilot areas in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia was organised on 19-20 November in Kakheti, Georgia.
The aim of the seminar is to provide support to the beneficiary countries in understanding and applying the environmental classification methodology corresponding to the Water Framework Directive of the EU.
Organised by European Union Water Initiative Plus (EUWI+), the event gathered the countries’ national experts responsible for developing the classification systems back home.
