On December 3, the Head of My Step Faction of the RA National Assembly Lilit Makunts met with the Charge d’Affaires of the United Kingdom Embassy in Armenia David Moran. The Member of Armenia-Great Britain Parliamentary Friendship Group Anush Begloian took part in the meeting.
Issues concerning the ways of developing and deepening the Armenian-British relations were discussed, and the works of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups were highlighted.
Great experience of parliamentary government in the United Kingdom has been noted which may be of use to Armenia in the development of law-making activity, oversight mechanisms and strengthening democracy.
Touching upon the programmes aimed at developing the institutional capacities of the RA National Assembly David Moran expressed readiness for active cooperation.
