EU NEIGHBOURS . From 9 to 13 December, an expert from Portugal will visit Armenia to provide assistance to the country’s Ministry of Nature Protection on the legislative framework for the protection of biodiversity.
During the mission, the expert will review the current laws on flora and fauna. He will also analyse and compare the current laws with the Council Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora for effective management in the biodiversity field.
The mission will also serve to identify existing legal gaps and make recommendations to Armenian experts on the necessary next steps.
The expert mission is organised by the European Commission’s Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) in cooperation with Armenia’s Ministry of Nature Protection.
