On December 6, at 04:36 an emergency call was received to “911” service that a car accident had occurred at the crossroads of Moskovyan and Abovyan streets, a gas leak had occurred, there were casualties.
Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MES dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that “Opel Astra G” and “Mercedes S-Class” cars had collided, as a result “Opel Astra G” car had run off the roadway and appeared on the sidewalk, the gas cylinder had been thrown out, a gas leak had occurred.
The rescuers closed the gas valves of the cars and disconnected the automotive battery of “Opel Astra G” car.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene the driver of “Opel Astra G” car had been hospitalized to “Heratsi” N1 hospital complex, afterwards to “Erebouni” medical center, where the doctors assessed the casualty’s health condition as serious.
