On December 13, at 08:32 am, information was received to “911” service that a road traffic accident had occurred near Sayat-Nova village of Ararat Province, there was gas leaking.
A fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MES of RA dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that “Mercedes E 220” (driver Sargis A.) and “Mercedes E 320″ (driver Hayrapet Z.) cars had collided on the 2nd km of Masis-Echmiatsin roadway. The ”Mercedes E 220” car had run off the roadway, collided with the gas pipeline passing by and an electric pole. The electric pole was broken and fell on the ”Mercedes E 220” car: there were no casualties.
The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries and closed the gas valves of the cars.
