On December 18, at 12:23 an emergency call was received to “911” service that a car accident had occurred in Bagratashen village of Tavush Province.
A fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MES dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that “Hyundai” (driver Ulan E. citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan) and “Opel Astra G” (driver Vanik M. born in 1968) cars had collided on the 20th km of Noyemberyan-Bagratashen section of M-16 highway: the driver of “Opel Astra G” car died on the spot.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene the passenger of “Opel Astra G” car Ruslan J. (born in 1990) had been taken out of the car by local forces and conveyed to the medical center of Noyemberyan town. According to the doctors’ conclusion the casualty was in a satisfactory condition.
