“Although officials in Yerevan are putting an emphasis on the participation of Artsakh in the negotiations process, the Prime Minister announced in parliament before his meeting in Bratislava that the approaches of the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh toward the negotiations process remain the same and are 100 percent alike. Making such a statement before a meeting where he needed to present the issue of Artsakh’s participation is not understandable because if both countries are going to say the same thing, why does Artsakh need to participate?” head of the Armenian Cause Office, Giro Manoyan, said during the “Negotiations Process and the Environment for Armenian Foreign Policy” panel organized by the Voskanapat analytical center.
According to Manoyan, the logic of the negotiations until now has been that a package solution can take place in stages. On the other hand, not having a strategy for resolving the issue, which is available now, can put Armenia in danger. “I believe that the upcoming war will be worse than the one in 2016 because Azerbaijan has seen our preparedness. War is inevitable,” he said.
