On December 27, at 01:10 information was received to “911” service that a car accident had occurred near the criminal-executive institution of Artik town, Shirak Province: there were casualties.
A fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MES dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that “Opel Zafira” (driver Artur S., born in 1990) and “VAZ-2109” (driver Gevorg A., born in 1981) cars had collided.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene the driver and the passenger (Narine S., born in 1986) of “VAZ-2109” car had been hospitalized to the medical center of Gyumri town, the other passengers (Ruzanna A., born in 2005 and Sirekan A., born in 2011) – to Austrian Children’s hospital of Gyumri, and the passenger (Hasmik H., born in 1990) of “Opel Zafira” car – to the medical center of Artik town.

The doctors assessed the driver’s and Narine S.’s health condition as serious, Ruzanna A.’s and Sirekan A.’s – as fair and Hasmik H.’s – as satisfactory.
The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries of the cars, closed gas valves and implemented cleanup activities of the roadway.
