Nikol Pashinyan offers condolences to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Iranian President Hassan Rohani

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan extended condolences to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and IRI President Hassan Rouhani over the tragic plane crash near Tehran.

The message to the President of Ukraine reads:

“Dear Mr. Zelensky,

I was deeply saddened to learn that an Ukraine International Airlines plane crashed near Tehran.

On behalf of the Armenian people and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to the victims’ families and friends. In these difficult times, we are with the friendly people of Ukraine.”

The message to the President of Iran runs as follows:

“Excellency,

I was deeply saddened to learn of the tragic January 8 plane crash near Tehran that left dozens dead. On behalf of the Armenian people, I offer my sincere condolences to you, to the victims’ families and the friendly people of Iran.”
