EU NEIGHBOURS . On 20–24 January, experts from Lithuania and Romania will visit Armenia to discuss how the government can ensure access to environmental information for its citizens.
The EU specialists are meeting with representatives from the country’s Ministry of Environment, the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment, and the Municipality of Yerevan.
The aim of the expert mission is to provide advice and guidance on how Armenia’s national legislation can ensure public access to environmental information in line with EU law.
The mission is organised by the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) of the European Commission in cooperation with Armenia’s Ministry of Environment.
