The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, led by Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan, ruled to change the precautionary measure of custody for the former Chairman of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, General Manvel Grigoryan.
The General Prosecutor’s Office initiated an extraordinary court session at the Court of General Jurisdiction to change Manvel Grigoryan’s precautionary measure. Before the judge left the consultations room, the defender asked him to take into consideration the circumstance of Manvel Grigoryan not leaving the country and ask him to sign a document stating that he would not leave.
Manvel Grigoryan’s health is also poor. He is currently in rehabilitation.
Manvel Grigoryan has been accused of the illegal possession of weapons, the embezzlement of property worth over 101 million AMD, the evasion of taxes worth over 1 billion AMD, the misuse of state resources worth over 1 billion AMD, and the organization of embezzling properties worth 37 million AMD.
