ԵՌԱԳՈՅՆ. Today, Lebanon’s prime minister-designate Hassan Diab formed his government of 20-ministers following month-long negotiations, Torontohye reports.
Vartine Ohanian was appointed minister of Youth and Sport, becoming the first female Armenian to be appointed minister in Lebanon’s history.
Ohanian, a social worker by profession, is the director of Zvartnots Educational Center. She was proposed as a candidate by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation.
Also, Zeina Akar became the first female defense minister in Lebanon’s history.
