Head of the My Step faction Suren Eyramjyan spoke to reporters after the three-hour meeting and said that they asked Henrik Hartenyan to resign from the city council. “During the meeting, the members of the faction confirmed their position that this action does not coincide with our system of values and it is against our principles. As we are loyal to those principles, we asked Mr. Hartenyan to resign from his position. I believe that he will release a statement.”

Eyramjyan also said that motivations and explanations are no longer important. “The reasons are not important. What’s important is what happened. We have what we have.”
