On January 24, 2020, the pupils of ”St. Moses of Khoren” (Surb Movses Khorenatsi) preschool (Armenian Diocese in Georgia) were in special joyful mood. After receiving the blessings of Rev. Father Kirakos Davtyan, Vicar of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, beautiful Christmas presents were given to the children by the ”Samaritan’s Purse” Christian humanitarian organization.
Already for the second year, ”Samaritan’s Purse” Christian humanitarian organization is sharing with its love and kindness with 3-14 years old children of various religious communities in Georgia giving them beautiful Christmas gifts full of joy, excitement, surprise and interest. Those presents are an expression of Jesus Christ’s big love for children. It also teaches to love church, to be educated with Christian love and kindness, as well as to learn from their peers who live with Christian values.
Under the leadership of Rev. Father Narek Ghushchyan, coordinator of this organization’s activities implemented with Armenian Diocese in Georgia and with the participation of Deacon Giorgi Abramyan, instead of 800 presents given last year, 3000 boxes of presents were given to the churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia his year. The gifts are intended for the children under 14 who study in preschools, Sunday schools, and artistic groups of spiritual, cultural and educational centers which are operating under the auspices of the churches.
