EU NEIGHBOURS. On 31 January, the Armenian capital Yerevan hosted the launch of the second fashion book, ‘Heritage’. The publication of the book was supported by the EU through the EU4Business ‘Support to SME Development in Armenia’ (EU-SMEDA) project.
The book presents all of the garments and accessories from the exhibition held in 2019 at Vordan Karmir Armenian Carpet Museum. The inspiration for the modern Armenian designers was Armenian cultural heritage.
The book contains contemporary items of Armenian designers, which are exhibited with old carpets, unique embroidery pieces and national costumes of Teryan Cultural Centre.
EU Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin attended the event and delivered opening remarks. The Ambassador congratulated the Fashion and Design Chamber of Armenia, wishing them success in accomplishing the mission for the benefit of Armenia’s cultural and creative industries.
