Interlocutors exchanged views on the issues of new possible directions of Armenian-Kazakh cooperation

On February 6 Feliks Tsolakyan hosted the delegation led by Timur Urazaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Armenia.

Minister welcomed the guest and highlighted strengthening Armenian-Kazakh cooperation in the field of emergency situations.
Interlocutors exchanged views on the issues of new possible directions of Armenian-Kazakh cooperation, memorandum of understanding was signed between MES of RA and Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction in Almaty.

Armenian-Kazakh cooperation was implemented by “Cooperation in the field of civil defense, prevention and elimination of emergency situations between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan” agreement, as well as in the framework of CSTO ES Coordination Council and CIS Interstate Council on ES.

Memorandum of understanding was signed between MES of RA and Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction in Almaty in 2018 aimed at establishment interregional cooperation in the field of disaster risk reduction, population protection, raising the level of resilience, prevention and rapid response to emergency situations.

Joint training, exchange of professional experience, joint research activities and assistance in rescue operations, if necessary were especially intended.
