The lawyer of former Republican Party deputy Arakel Movsisyan’s son filed a complaint with the Court of Appeals. Movsisyan’s son was taken into custody on January 30th surrounding the case involving the death of soldier Vahram Avagyan. Lawyer Gor Gevorgyan told Aravot Daily that his appeal was registered at the court on February 10th, but it is not yet clear when the trial will take place.
The lawyer appealed against the precautionary method used against his client. In a previous interview, Gor Gevorgyan had mentioned that he considers the arrest of Davit Movsisyan to be unfounded. “My appeal has a very strong basis. I expressed all the flaws in this case. We will start a legal fight. Let’s see what their reasoning will be,” the lawyer said. According to him, no investigations took place after Movsisyan’s arrest.
The lawyer also said that he is preparing to be included in the case as the defense attorney. He is not yet fully aware of the materials surrounding the case, but he will be able to speak about the case in the upcoming days as he becomes more familiar with it.
