On February 12th at approximately 1:00 PM, Artsakh Defense Army soldier Tigran Mkhoyan (b. 2000) died from a gunshot wound at one of the Defense Army military bases near the northern border in unknown circumstances. He was from Tashir in the Lori region.
His aunt, Armenuhi Mkhoyan, told Aravot Daily that Tigran had only begun his service six months ago. He had lived with his family in a rented apartment in Yerevan for five years. Tigran’s sister is a university student in Yerevan. Armenuhi Mkhoyan only learned about her nephew’s death from the news. She said that she had some problems with her brother’s family and they had not been in contact for several years, but she was preparing to go to Yerevan the next day. Tigran’s aunt and grandmother live in Tashir.

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Artsakh also announced that, on February 12th at approximately 11:30 AM, Defense Army soldier Tigran Manvelyan also died from a gunshot wound at one of the southeastern Defense Army military bases in unknown circumstances.
An investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of their deaths.
