On February 18, at 08:00 an emergency call was received to Crisis management national center that a car accident had occurred near the monument on the roadway leading from Yeghvard highway to Zovuni village. “GAZel’ car crashed into an electric pole: there were casualties.
A fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad and one from the Special Fire Squad of Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MES of RA dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that ”GAZel” car (driver Frunzik A., born in 1969) had run off the roadway, crashed into an electrical substation and turned over onto its side, as a result of which the electrical substation and the fence were damaged.
The driver and the passenger (Ani Gh. born in 1981) were hospitalized to “Armenia” RMC.
