Chief of Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Artak Davtyan had a private meeting with the members of the National Assembly Committees on Defense and Security and on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs.
As far as what issues were discussed, Naira Zohrabyan told journalists in an interview after the meeting that this information is not to be disclosed. “I can say that this was an effective and informative meeting. The fears we had as deputies and as citizens received their answers. We have a lot of work to do in legislation. The two committees agreed to work with the chief of staff.”
Andranik Kocharyan said that they discussed issues that are confidential. “What took place in the army in February forced us to do everything we can for the army. The army should not be targeted, but instead, everyone- the executive body, the legislative body, society, NGOs, and families- needs to stand next to the army because it is the army that makes up the entirety of our security system.”
