“Armenia is taking internal actions. We will make the necessary decisions in case of an emergency,” the secretary of the National Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, told journalists during a briefing about what is being done to prevent the coronavirus from reaching Armenia.
Regarding closing the border with Georgia since the first case of the coronavirus has been confirmed there, Grigoryan said that no such discussions are taking place at the moment. “The appropriate departments are in contact with Georgia to learn more about the situation. All issues are being discussed. All options are on the table and we will come up with solutions as the need arises.”
