EU NEIGHBOURS. On 16–18 March, experts from the Netherlands will visit Armenia to evaluate the current state of forensic DNA profiling in the country.
The experts will assist in establishing the appropriate legal and procedural framework for DNA profiling laboratories to submit records to DNA databases, according to EU standards, requirements and best practices.
The visiting delegation will work with experts from the Armenian Scientific Practical Centre of Forensic Medicine to help define, document and adopt new procedures for delivering forensic DNA examinations.
The expert mission is organised by the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) of the European Commission in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Armenia.
