The “Yes” campaign was in Kajaran. The head of the Republic political party and former Prime Minister Aram Sargsyan also joined the campaign.
He announced that this referendum is the continuation of the 2018 revolution. The people rejected the former authorities and that rejection did not only apply to Serzh Sargsyan; ‘reject Serzh’ applied to the entire system. “That includes the executive, legislative, and judicial authorities, as well as the Constitutional Court, which stands on top of that pyramid. The people rejected the legislative and judicial authorities, but some people are claiming that the people didn’t do that. The current authorities, therefore, are saying that they will have a referendum about this issue to see if the people are rejecting the former authorities or not. It’s simple. And now those same people are saying that this isn’t legal. Is there a country where asking the people what they want is illegal? Don’t say Azerbaijan. There is nothing more legal than asking the people what they want.”
Aram Sargsyan told the audience to show that they want to establish the judicial authorities’ pyramid with their vote. “We are looking at the “No” movement. There is an invisible person behind the “No” side, someone from fantasy films. They created groups and they’ve quickly mobilized people. But it is not clear who is behind the “No” movement. As far as I understood, those leading the “No” movement are second President Robert Kocharyan and third President Serzh Sargsyan. If I’m wrong, let Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan say, ‘No, Aram, you’re wrong, we’re on neither side.’ But they are the ones on the “No” side, right? They are on that side because the constitution gives them immunity in resolving their political issues. They want to take advantage of the current Constitutional Court because it is their continuation and the base for the former authorities. If they’re right from a legal standpoint, why don’t they come and explain that to the people? The law is for the people, the people aren’t for the law.”

According to him, saying “yes” to the constitutional referendum will allow people’s lives to improve. “I am saying “yes” because it will benefit my son Gurgen, my daughter Gretik, my daughter Tsovinar, my nephew Karlen, my niece Tomik, and myself. So that my children will not have any issues with the Constitutional Court as I did twice. That’s why I’m saying “yes.””
