EU NEIGHBOURS. On 12 February, EU4Digital Facility launched a number of activities to harmonise e-commerce between the EU and the Eastern partner countries.
E-commerce, or electronic commerce, refers to the buying and selling of goods and services from anywhere in the world through computer networks.
While the EU allows free exchange of goods and services between Member States, this exchange is not as easy between the EU and its Eastern partner countries due to the current e-commerce legislation, standards and ecosystem.
EU4Digital aims to provide suggestions in the Eastern Neighbourhood on how to harmonise these three areas with the EU.
