Deputy Prime Minister and head of the State of Emergency Command Tigran Avinyan spoke about the logic behind the new limitations placed on citizens during a Facebook live video.
“All of our efforts until this point have been focused on preventing the spread of the coronavirus. And now, as a result of one case- I am referring to the manufacturing plant cases- we have a worrisome picture. In any case, we will be able to follow this case, but we must ask citizens to stay home as much as possible over the course of the next seven days and only leave the house when absolutely necessary. Please only try to go to stores to buy food and return home quickly,” Avinyan said.
Tigran Avinyan added that, over the next seven days, the government will attempt to minimize the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible. “We will be using new technology in order to confirm coronavirus cases more quickly and prevent the spread of the virus. A working staff has been established in the government that will attempt to develop new and effective tools so that we will be able to come out of this situation in seven days.”
