The Inquiry Committee for Examining the Circumstances of the Military Activities of April 2016 invited the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, to the investigative session.
Sargsyan went to parliament and spoke to reporters as soon as he got out of his vehicle. “I am more interested than you are in speaking to the media because I have nothing to hide. Also, the time has come where I am prepared to answer all questions. Based on this, I spoke to the committee about holding a session that I would participate in after the state of emergency, but the committee found it necessary to hold the session on April 16th. And, as we know, the state of emergency was extended. Therefore, I was deprived of that opportunity. This issue is so important that I cannot please reporters or society with one or two responses. I promise you that, once the state of emergency is over, I will invite all media outlets in Armenia to answer all questions about the April War.”
