“The State of Emergency Command announced that textile production will begin to operate as of April 20th if the spread of the virus slows down below one point. At the moment, the intensity of the coronavirus spread is more than one point, so the State of Emergency Command will make an announcement about this soon,” the head of the My Step faction, Lilit Makunts, announced during a session of parliament.
The head of the Bright Armenia party, Edmon Marukyan, had said earlier that employees at the Vanadzor Gloria Sewing Factory were fined for going to work, despite the fact that the Prime Minister said that textile production will begin operation as of April 20th.
Lilit Makunts announced that textile producers had a meeting at the Ministry of Economy and it was suggested that only those factories that agree to work according to the rules and that will appeal to the ministry be allowed to operate. “There are textile factories that do not want to work in accordance with the suggested conditions. An agreement was made, so the commander will make a decision. The producers who agree to work according to the rules need to appeal to the ministry, after which they will be allowed to work.”
