Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a video meeting today with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda.
The parties exchanged views on their countries’ response to the coronavirus-driven pandemic. In this context, they highlighted the assistance provided by the European Union to Eastern Partnership countries, including Armenia.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented the ongoing reform process and the priorities of the Armenian government. The President of Lithuania praised the determination shown by the Armenian authorities in implementing the reforms. He expressed support for Armenia’s reform policy and expressed willingness to provide expert assistance.
Bith sides emphasized the need to enhance the agenda of bilateral economic cooperation in the current situation. Priority was given to the early resumption of direct air flights. Reference was made to the EU-Armenia cooperation agenda. The interlocutors expressed satisfaction in this respect and reaffirmed their readiness to take consistent steps in this direction. The parties exchanged invitations of official visits.
