“I do not consider what Sasun Mikayelyan said to be a threat,” the head of the My Step faction, Lilit Makunts, told reporters during a briefing about My Step deputy Sasun Mikayelyan warning the head of Bright Armenia, Edmon Marukyan, and his brother to either apologize “or else.” Edmon Marukyan took that as a threat. “I understood that to come from a moral standpoint. If Edmon Marukyan’s brother does not apologize, then it will have a negative impact on Mr. Marukyan and Bright Armenia’s authority. That’s how I understood it, anyways,” Lilit Makunts said.
According to her, despite the fact that Bright Armenia does not accept responsibility, My Step does not consider them to be the victim as they say, but instead, a side in a conflict. “I hope that they will come to a decision, perhaps not publicly, and allow us to work as usual.”
