State of semi-emergency

May 22,2020 19:10

It has already been four days since public transportation has been allowed to operate.

Stores, shopping centers, and almost all other businesses are open, but the country is still in a state of emergency.

The State of Emergency Command has outlined a set of rules prohibiting people from entering stores or using public transportation without masks or gloves. Minibuses are not allowed to accept more passengers than there are seats for.

Although there are not many such cases, it is possible to see passengers, especially elderly people, who are not wearing masks.

All forms of public transportation have signs stating that people are only allowed to enter wearing masks and gloves. There are even some minibuses that have signs saying that people can only get on with a smile.

Not all minibuses have hand sanitizer, but the drivers say that their bosses did not give them any.

The situation in Yerevan does not give the impression of a state of emergency. There are people everywhere, and people are selling produce on the streets. which is even more dangerous given the current coronavirus pandemic.

There are stores that allow customers to enter without gloves but with masks. Some stores even allow customers to enter without masks.
