Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a session of the commission coordinating the activities for preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the Republic of Armenia.
The meeting started with a presentation of statistics on confirmed coronavirus cases, the health status of infected persons, after which the Commission discussed the epidemiological situation in the country.
Information was provided on the ongoing countermeasures against the spread of the pandemic, the enforcement of those regulations and protective measures prescribed by the Commandant’s Office, the instances of administrative offences, and citizens’ adherence to the regime of self-isolation in case of asymptomatic infection.
The government’s preventive strategy was reviewed during the meeting. Issues related to capacity building in the healthcare system and raising public awareness were discussed in this context.

Summing up the meeting, the Prime Minister reiterated that everyone should show a high sense of individual responsibility if we are to get along with the coronavirus. The Premier told those responsible to submit proposals on solving the problems raised during the meeting.
