“I am not at work now for one simple reason: I found out yesterday that the results of my coronavirus test were positive,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a Facebook live video.
He explained that he did not have any symptoms and said, “There were plans to go to the frontlines, so I decided to take a coronavirus test and the results were positive. After that, my whole family got tested, and their results were positive as well.”
Nikol Pashinyan said that his family members also were not experiencing any symptoms. Over the past month, his temperature was checked when he came to work as the procedure dictates. He did not have a temperature.
Speaking about the circumstances surrounding his infection, Nikol Pashinyan said, “It is obvious that I infected my family members. I can guess where and how I got the virus. I got infected during working consultations. I can talk about one case that I remember. I am convinced that this is how I got the virus. During the consultation, they provide everyone with glasses for water. I mentioned that they were serving everyone these glasses without wearing gloves. I spoke up then, and I asked them to change their gloves. I can assume that this had also happened prior to that. The waiter who was serving us also tested positive.”

Nikol Pashinyan said that he and his family are in self-isolation at the Prime Minister’s residence, which is where he will be working from.
In the end, he apologized for not wearing a mask, but he said that he was outside and in isolation.
