EU NEIGHBOURS . The national energy regulator of Ukraine, NEURC, may withdraw its earlier decision to increase the gas distribution tariffs in Ukraine. This may result in unauthorised offtakes of natural gas, weakening the financial stability of the new transmission system operator and putting gas sector reforms at risk.
The adoption of such a decision could also potentially damage the financial viability of the distribution system network operators and undermine crucial gas market reforms, including the creation of a gas exchange.
