After the State of Emergency Command session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke about the results of his and his family’s coronavirus tests, noting that they were negative, during a briefing. According to the Prime Minister, since they were diagnosed with the coronavirus last Sunday, and the test results came back negative this Sunday, it is important to review the length of time for infection and the circumstances of what we believe. “We are working on that now. Personal experience will allow us to make several conclusions, and we will share the experiences that will be publicly helpful with the public.”
The Prime Minister said that there has been a positive increase in how well people are following the quarantine rules. “The quarantine measures, such as wearing masks everywhere, will be seen in as soon as one week because the shortest amount of time for the virus to pass is one week. And, I want to emphasize that it’s not only very important for the quarantine rules to be followed formally, but all the rules need to be followed.”
The Prime Minister asked that everyone wear masks for a short period of time. “They cannot be worn forever. It is important to follow the rules of wearing a mask. They should not be worn just to avoid getting fined, but for safety. Therefore, not only is the formal side important, but the quality as well.”
According to Pashinyan, consultations are taking place every day for solutions that are in the best interests of Armenia. “Our goal is not only the interests of our security, economy, and healthcare system, or to overcome the virus, but to see our economic and social conditions as great as possible.”
