EU NEIGHBOURS. On 9 June, the EU announced a call for proposals to support Armenia’s tourism industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The support is provided through the innovative tourism action grants of the ‘EU4Business’ initiative. It aims to increase tourism organisations’ productivity and competitiveness, and improve tourism entrepreneurs’ and workers’ skills and qualifications. It will also push for the development and upgrading of existing and new products and services, and encourage innovative marketing and re-branding approaches.
The call is open for eligible applicants from Armenia. The project proposals should contribute to the development of innovative tourism in Armenia’s three northern regions, Tavush, Lori and Shirak.
The application deadline is 28 June 2020.
