On June 14, at 18:24 local time (14:24 GMT) the RA MES Seismic Protection Survey Seismological Network registered an earthquake of magnitude 5.7 and ten kilometers depth on the 12th kilometer north- east from Bingol Town, Turkey.
The geographic coordinates of the epicenter of the seismic activity are 39.35⁰ in northern latitude and 40.73⁰ in eastern longitude.
The magnitude of the earthquake in the epicenter was 8.
According to preliminary data, there were nine casualties and one victim as a result of earthquake.
