771 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed out of 2,336 tests. Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan presented this data at the government session. He said that the percent of new cases remains the same- 30%- and the situation has not changed in this aspect. Having concrete numbers is important in order to ensure that people can receive medical assistance, and in this aspect, the situation is stable but tense, according to the minister.
As of 9:00 AM Thursday morning, according to Arsen Torosyan, there are 51 people who need to be taken to hospitals that are designated for treating coronavirus patients. Two of them are at home and the other 49 are in different hospitals. “We are working on this. More people are being confirmed and taken to hospitals. In this aspect, the situation is good.”
The minister said that 502 citizens are in serious condition, 113 are in critical condition, and 40 are on ventilators.
There are several free spaces in all rehabilitation units, but the minister said that the process of these spaces being freed and occupied again happens very quickly. “We do not have anyone who needs medical assistance and who is not being provided with it, but that does not mean that the situation has improved.”
