EU NEIGHBOURS. Between 15 and 19 June, fresh produce companies participated in the leading international fruit and vegetable trade fair United Fresh.
Organised annually, the fair assembles people from the fresh produce industry for networking events, community receptions, conferences, webinars, meetings, on-demand education and other social gatherings. This year, due to COVID-19, the organisers set up a virtual event – the United Fresh Live.
Thanks to the EU-funded project ‘Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade’, 17 small and medium-sized enterprises from Georgia had the chance to display their produce at a virtual booth.
This year, more than 200 companies exhibited their products and 12,500 people registered for the event, with 7,500 people being online at any time.

To help the exhibitors from Georgia, the EU project provided daily support, designed business catalogues and helped them ‘build’ their virtual booth. During the fair, the Georgian booth had more than 500 visitors. The companies established more than 30 new contacts with businesses from all around the world.
