EU NEIGHBOURS. On 1 July, Ambassador Kęstutis Jankauskas, head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, and Hande Harmanci, World Health Organization representative in Azerbaijan, inspected the medical equipment delivered to the country.
The equipment was donated as part of the EU-funded ‘Solidarity for Health Initiative’, whose aim is to help Azerbaijan respond effectively and safely to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After personally testing the equipment, the delegates wrote a thank-you note to the country’s health workers who will use it.
The personal protective equipment will be distributed to the health facilities across the country dedicated to the fight against the pandemic.
