‘They asked for forgiveness because they identified the wrong person’s body’: Arsen Torosyan on losing the woman’s body and Naira Zohrabyan’s response

July 03,2020 21:30

Reporters asked the Minister of Health, Arsen Torosyan, questions near the Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center about the elderly woman whose body was missing, how they were able to find it, and why the woman’s body went missing. The minister said, “A mistake was made when identifying the body and when the body was being transported. The mistake was fixed and every family received their relative’s body.”

When reporters asked about why the families were given the bodies in closed caskets so that they would not be able to identify the body, the minister said reporters are unaware of the identification process and it took place with an open casket. “A mistake was made. The relative identified their relative’s body, but it turns out that they made a mistake. Then they apologized because they identified the wrong person’s body.”

Regarding Arsen Torosyan’s response to Naira Zohrabyan’s post, the reporters asked him how he was able to find the time to follow what other politicians are writing. “I have enough time to follow the activities of other politicians and give my evaluations, and I always will have that time. Please do not ask me that question anymore.”

When asked about whether or not the public’s anger regarding the fact that the minister of health is making political statements right now is justifiable, Arsen Torosyan responded, “The minister of health is a politician and he will always make political statements.”
