“Eight members of the My Step party were confirmed to have the coronavirus. Two of them had negative tests and are considered to have recovered. These deputies have isolated in accordance with the rules established by the State of Emergency Command,” the head of the My Step faction, Lilit Makunts, told reporters.
My Step deputies Christine Poghosyan, Viktor Yengibaryan, Karen Hambardzumyan, Lilit Stepanyan, Aren Mkrtchyan, Hakob Simidyan, Tsovinar Vardanyan, and Hayk Gevorgyan all had positive test results.
When asked if there are deputies who need to isolate but they haven’t done so because there are people from the opposition who have expressed their fears about that, Makunts responded, “No, that is not true. We are following all the rules established by the State of Emergency Command and organizing our activities in accordance with those rules.”
