On July 9, the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security moderated by Andranik Kocharyan convened an extraordinary sitting.
The draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Military Service and Serviceman’s Status authored by the deputy of the RA NA My Step Faction Sofia Hovsepyan was debated in the second reading and endorsed.
No recommendation was received from the MPs on the initiative from the first to the second reading.
In case of adoption of the initiative, the family members of the deceased (died) servicemen – parents, husband (wife), can study in the RA state accredited educational institutions at the expense of the RA state budget means.
