“This is another show of Azerbaijan’s regressive and militaristic nature. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a statement yesterday expressing its support for Azerbaijan and defending its aggressive actions against Armenia,” the chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations and the former deputy minister of foreign affairs, Ruben Rubinyan, said regarding the provocative attacks at the Armenian border by Azerbaijan.
“This means that Turkey is presenting itself as a side in the Artsakh conflict and it is confirming the fact that it cannot have any international role involving the conflict. Moreover, according to an interview that was published in the Turkish media today, the Turkish minister of foreign affairs called upon Armenia to wake up. We are the ones who will call upon the Turkish authorities to wake up and then to make Azerbaijan wake up. If they don’t want to wake up and cease their illegal activities along the Armenian border, then our Armed Forces will force them to do so.”
