Are the current authorities talented or incompetent? Are they nationalists or anti-nationalists? The discussion of these issues can also be applied to the economy, education, culture, the state system, and other (very important, of course) sectors. It is possible to harshly critique all of Armenia’s authorities over the past 30 years, including the current ones, over these issues. And, therefore, a wide field of political activity opens up in these spheres. But when we are discussing issues of national security, external challenges, and responding to the threats of our military opponents, all Armenian political parties and anyone who considers themselves an Armenian needs to come up with general rules for responding to the enemy. Violating any of these rules would be considered extraordinary and marginal behavior. Regardless of what the name of the commander-in-chief is, they are not simply Levon, Robert, Serzh, or Nikol in this case. They are the individual who embodies the institution that is responsible for national security. Are the opposition parties from the past several years in agreement with my claim? Of course not. Do the current members of the opposition share my opinion? Again, no.
