We pushed back Azerbaijan’s latest attempt at infiltration not because a revolution took place in Armenia two years ago as the supporters of the current authorities have been trying to claim. This is not the first, nor is it the last attack. And if we are to look at the past 30 years, then we can say that our neighboring country has not achieved much as a result of these attacks. And the main reason for this is that we have a state and an army. Of course, having a popular and legitimate leader is more beneficial than having an unpopular leader who is illegitimate. But our reasons for resistance run much deeper. Even more, they are not limited to the past 30 years. I advise the advisors of foreign leaders to think about the following questions. Why did Armenia decide to follow its own theological path quite quickly (from a historical point of view) after accepting Christianity? Why is our alphabet different than the alphabets of every other nation? And finally, why have other ancient nations disappeared from the historical arena, but ours remained?
